From 'LALISA' to 'Money', Lisa on Top
Lisa, a member Black Pink, once again made her name on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the song 'MONEY' from her solo album, breaking a new K-pop female solo record.
According to the latest chart released by Billboard on the 9th (local time), Lisa's 'MONEY' ranked 93 on this week's Hot 100. Although the ranking is down three places from last week, Lisa is the first female K-pop solo artist to chart in the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row.
Lisa's popularity index is even more prominent on the Billboard Global 200 chart and the Billboard Global (excluding the United States) chart, which ranks based on streaming and music sales without including traditional broadcast scores. Lisa's solo album title song 'LALISA' and the b-side song 'MONEY' both maintained the top spot for 8 weeks on both charts, and it is being evaluated that BLACKPINK's powerful global presence was once again proven through Lisa.
'LALISA', released on September 10, not only ranked 84th on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the first week of its release, but also dominated the iTunes Top Song Charts in 72 countries and the Top 100 Global YouTube Songs for two weeks in a row.
'MONEY' succeeded the popularity of 'LALISA'. The song topped the iTunes Top Song Charts in 38 countries, and is creating an unusual sensation that it reverses the rankings of various global major charts more than a month after the song was released.
