BTS member Jimin swept the first half of 2023 in the domestic music scene.

Jimin showcased his dominance as the top solo artist in the K-pop industry on various domestic platforms in the first half of 2023.

According to the 2023 first-half report from the largest music platform in Korea, Melon, Jimin's solo album 'FACE' achieved impressive streaming numbers. Within 6 hours and 50 minutes of its release, the album recorded over 1 million streams, and within 24 hours, it reached over 2.9 million streams, ranking 9th in the all-time records and setting a new record among solo artists.

The album also achieved significant milestones in terms of hourly streaming and viewership. The highest hourly streaming reached 158,600 plays on March 24th at 14:00, and the highest hourly viewership reached 32,300 viewers on March 24th at 18:00. Within the first 24 hours of release, the album's streaming count approached 3 million, reaching an impressive 2.9613 million.

Prior to this, Jimin's title track 'Like Crazy' from the 'FACE' album secured the top spot on Melon's weekly chart for four consecutive weeks, from the 5th week of March to the 3rd week of April. This achievement marked the first-ever honorary graduation for a K-pop solo idol since the chart's revision in March 2022, solidifying Jimin's popularity.

Furthermore, Jimin had already achieved the top spot on the weekly chart in the fourth week of March with his pre-release track 'Set Me Free Pt.2.' This remarkable feat allowed Jimin to establish an astonishing record of five consecutive weeks at No. 1, the longest duration for a K-pop idol's solo release.
