New Jeans' 'How Sweet' ranked 7th on Billboard Globally, "5th top 10 overall" [Official]

Girl group NewJeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Hae-rin, Hye-in)'s new song 'How Sweet' has landed at the top of the major US Billboard charts.

On the 3rd (local time), the U.S. Billboard first released some of the latest charts (as of June 8) that aggregated data from the 24th to the 30th of last month through website articles and SNS.

According to this, New Jeans' double single 'How Sweet' and the title song of the same name 'How Sweet' ranked 7th globally (excluding the US). Billboard said, "'How Sweet' recorded 42.8 million streams and more than 5,000 music sales (downloads) in one week," and added, "It is New Genes' fifth 'global (excluding the U.S.)' 'top 10' song."

The song ‘Bubble Gum’ ranked 18th on the same chart. This song recorded 25 million streams and more than 4,000 digital sales. 'Bubble Gum' was first released as a music video on April 27th, and at that time, the song ranked 166th in 'Global (excluding the United States)' as of May 11th even before the music was released. Their name was placed on the Billboard chart just by pre-releasing the music video.

Billboard's Global Chart ranks the most popular songs based on streaming and music sales in more than 200 regions around the world, unlike the 'Hot 100', which includes local radio broadcast scores in the United States. Billboard is a chart that reflects popular music market trends, so it is considered one of the global popularity indicators.
