According to the music industry on the morning of the 2nd, Jin will participate as one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Olympics will open on the 26th (local time), and the torch relay began its grand journey last April. Jin is expected to depart for France soon, though specific dates and locations have not been disclosed.

Previously, Jin completed his military service as a sergeant in the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, and was discharged on the 12th of last month. As the first BTS member to complete military service, Jin attended an offline event, "2024 FESTA," in Songpa-gu, Seoul, the day after his discharge on the 13th. "FESTA" is an annual festival celebrating BTS's debut anniversary, where the group and their fans enjoy various activities together. During "2024 FESTA," Jin participated in the "Jin's Greetings" hug event for 1,000 fans and showcased different aspects of himself in "June 13, 2024, Seokjin, Clear Weather," interacting with fans worldwide.

Jin's next activity is in entertainment. He recently participated in the recording of MBC's "If You Rest, It's a Relief" on an uninhabited island. The broadcast date is yet to be determined.

Jin is also preparing for a solo comeback. On the 30th of last month, he announced through the fan community platform Weverse that his solo comeback is imminent. Responding to a fan's question, "What have you been doing these days?" Jin replied, "I've been recording, filming variety shows, and steadily working on the plans I made in the military. I'm trying to show my face as much as possible while doing my main job. The results will be released in a few months, so please wait a little longer."
