BLACKPINK has solidified their status as the "YouTube Queens" as their debut music video, "Whistle," has surpassed 900 million views on the platform, reflecting the continued love from music fans.


According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's "Whistle" music video reached over 900 million views on YouTube at around 1:59 PM on the 22nd. 


This milestone comes nearly eight years after its release on August 8, 2016. "Whistle," one of the double title tracks from BLACKPINK's first single, "SQUARE ONE," gained attention for its vibrant and sophisticated visuals. The members' captivating visuals and the unique melody of the song resonated with fans worldwide, garnering significant acclaim.


The song also achieved impressive success on music charts. Upon its release, "Whistle" scored a "perfect all-kill" by topping real-time, daily, and weekly charts on major music platforms and held the number one spot for 16 consecutive days. In addition, it achieved first place on iTunes charts in 14 countries, an extraordinary accomplishment for a rookie group at the time.


With this, BLACKPINK now has a total of 46 videos with over 100 million views, including 10 videos that have surpassed 900 million views. Among these are "DDU-DU DDU-DU" (2.2 billion views), "Kill This Love" (1.9 billion views), "Boombayah" (1.7 billion views), the "How You Like That" music video (1.2 billion views) and choreography video (1.6 billion views), "As If It's Your Last" (1.3 billion views), Lisa's solo song "MONEY" exclusive performance video (1 billion views), Jennie's solo song "SOLO" (1 billion views), and "Ice Cream" (900 million views).
