BTS's V to release duet of White Christmas with Bing Crosby on December 6
Global pop icon V of BTS is set to release a duet with legendary pop artist Bing Crosby. Titled White Christmas (with V of BTS), this special rendition will be available worldwide on December 6 at 2 PM. V has reinterpreted part of Crosby’s classic White Christmas, originally released in 1942 and still beloved globally, infusing it with his unique style.
This cross-generational collaboration between V and Bing Crosby is particularly notable as it marks the first new Crosby duet released in 47 years, since his iconic collaboration with David Bowie in 1977. V’s admiration for Crosby, who he considers a major influence, inspired this project. In 2022, V uploaded a cover of Crosby’s It's Been a Long, Long Time, expressing his long-standing respect and affection for the artist. Crosby’s official channel responded warmly, saying, “We think V could be a wonderful jazz crooner—like our Bing.”
Crosby, a celebrated singer and actor who has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, is one of the greatest stars of the 20th century. White Christmas has become a timeless hit, covered by top artists like Michael Bublé, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry, yet this is the first duet version ever released with Crosby’s voice, making it a truly meaningful release. V’s addition to White Christmas (with V of BTS) is expected to bring warmth and joy to listeners worldwide.
Meanwhile, V showcased his talents as a solo artist with his debut solo album Layover released in September of last year, and his digital single FRI(END)S in March. His charming baritone and soulful voice have captivated many, earning him praise for redefining himself as a vocalist.
