Red Velvet’s Irene explores diverse musical genres with her first mini-album, Like A Flower.

Irene, from SM Entertainment’s Red Velvet, is set to showcase various music styles in her debut solo album, Like A Flower, which will be released on the 26th. One of the tracks, "Summer Rain," is a pop ballad with a deep bassline and dreamy synth sound, highlighting Irene’s delicate vocals as she switches between chest and head voice. The lyrics carry a message of staying warm and supportive together, like daisies caught in a summer rain, as they weather the season together.

Another track, "Calling Me Back," is a futuristic pop R&B dance song layered with 808 bass, trap beats, and ethereal synth and piano lines. The lyrics describe the confidence in embracing new emotions upon awakening to love, further accentuated by Irene’s smooth yet energetic vocal delivery.

The album also includes "Start Line," a band pop song with a dynamic synth bass and rich band sound. The lyrics emphasize the importance of courage to take the next step, with a message of support, expressing that they can always start anew together when needed.

Additionally, the mood clips and teaser images released on Red Velvet’s official social media on the 14th capture Irene exploring the streets of an unfamiliar city with a stylish and free-spirited visual, which has been well-received by fans.
