NewJeans' "Hype Boy" music video has surpassed 200 million views, highlighting its global popularity.

As of November 13, the performance version of "Hype Boy," one of the title tracks from NewJeans' (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) debut album New Jeans, has exceeded 200 million views on YouTube.

This marks the group’s third music video to reach 200 million views, following "OMG" and "Super Shy." It was also the first NewJeans music video to hit 100 million views.

"Hype Boy," a mega-hit from NewJeans, combines Moombahton and electropop with a fresh and sophisticated sound. The performance version of the music video, featuring the group’s unique styling and trendy choreography, primarily uses long takes to fully capture the charm of all five members, enhancing the viewing and listening experience. The song sparked a sensation both domestically and internationally upon its release in August 2022, topping charts and inspiring a global challenge trend, even giving rise to the popular meme, "NewJeans’ Hype Boy." Despite being out for over two years and three months, "Hype Boy" remains in the top ranks of major domestic music charts, showcasing its lasting appeal.

To date, NewJeans has five videos with over 100 million views. These include the performance videos for "Hype Boy" and "OMG" with 200 million views each, and the music video for "Super Shy." Additionally, they have "Ditto" and "Cookie" with over 100 million views.
