BTS's Jin takes Japan by storm with 'Happy,' debuting at No. 1 on Oricon.
According to Japan’s latest Oricon chart released on November 20, Jin's solo album 'Happy' topped the "Weekly Digital Album Ranking" (covering the period from November 11–17) with just three days of sales. 'Happy,' released on November 15, quickly claimed the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s "Daily Album Ranking" (as of November 16) with nearly 220,000 copies sold on its first day.
It also became the highest-selling K-pop solo album on its release day in Oricon’s 2023 records. The album's title track, "Running Wild," reached No. 1 on the "Daily Digital Single Ranking" (as of November 15). Additionally, all songs from the album, including "To Reach You" (No. 9), "I'll Be There" (No. 11), "Heart on the Window (with Wendy)" (No. 14), "In Longing" (No. 15), and "Another Level" (No. 17), ranked within the top 20 of the "Daily Digital Single Ranking."
The solo album 'Happy' carries a message inviting listeners to embark on a journey to find happiness. Jin shares his personal views on happiness and hopes his music brings joy to his audience. On November 19 at 2 PM, Jin also released 'Running Wild (Remixes)' featuring remixed versions of the title track. Additionally, on November 21 at 1:35 PM, he is set to perform "Running Wild" on NBC's popular show "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
