The group RIIZE received the Performance Award at the 2024 MAMA Awards.
On November 22 (KST), the 2024 MAMA Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, USA, with actor Park Bo-gum as the host. The lineup for the event included Anderson .Paak, J.Y. Park, ILLIT, KATSEYE, RIIZE, TWS, and YOUNG POSSE.
RIIZE was honored in the Favorite Global Performance Male Group category. Taking the stage, they began by celebrating, “Today is our member Sohee’s birthday. Happy birthday!”
The group expressed their gratitude, saying, “Thank you to our fans who always support us. As artists, this past year has been eventful, and we believe many of you are aware of the journey we’ve been on since last year’s MAMA Awards. We’re deeply thankful to our fans, as well as our members and families.”
RIIZE continued, “We’ll do our best to show you our best performances and keep moving forward. What we hope for is a future where RIIZE and our fans can journey together. We’re currently engaged in open discussions with our agency, and we’re receiving a lot of support.”
The group also reflected on the significance of the award, saying, “We’re thankful to receive such a meaningful award for the second year in a row. It’s all thanks to BREEZE (our fandom) that we were able to receive this. And this performance award wouldn’t have been possible without the dancers who worked with us. We want to dedicate this honor to them.”
