BTS member Jin has achieved global recognition by debuting at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with his first solo album, Happy.
According to a preview article published by Billboard on November 25 (KST), Jin's album, released on November 15, entered the Billboard 200 chart dated November 30 at No. 4. This marks Jin's first solo entry on the prestigious chart. With this achievement, BTS becomes the only K-pop act to have both the group and its individual members rank within the top 5 of the Billboard 200. BTS has previously topped the chart six times with albums including LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear', LOVE YOURSELF 結 'Answer', MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, BE, and Proof.
Other BTS members have also made impressive solo entries on the chart. RM ranked with mono. (No. 26), Indigo (No. 3), and Right Place, Wrong Person (No. 5). SUGA, under the name Agust D, entered with D-2 (No. 11) and D-DAY (No. 2). J-Hope charted with Hope World (No. 38), Jack In The Box (No. 6), and HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 (No. 5). Jimin's FACE and MUSE both debuted at No. 2, while V's Layover and Jungkook's GOLDEN also reached No. 2.
Jin’s Happy marks a "career high" for him. The album's title track, Running Wild, broke personal records, debuting at No. 8 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global and No. 10 on the Weekly Top Songs Global. It also charted at No. 25 on the UK Official Singles Chart. This accomplishment solidifies Jin’s growing influence as a solo artist.
