SEVENTEEN achieve another milestone as the first K-pop artists
SEVENTEEN has achieved another milestone as the first K-pop artists to appear on Disney’s iconic holiday specials, adding to their growing global influence.
On December 11 (local time), ABC announced that SEVENTEEN will perform a solo stage of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” on the upcoming 'Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade', airing on December 25. This marks the first time a K-pop artist has been featured on the show. The Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade is one of the most popular holiday programs in the U.S., broadcast during prime time every Christmas Day. The two-hour event features beloved Disney characters and performances by legendary pop stars.
SEVENTEEN will join a prestigious lineup that includes Elton John and John Legend, further emphasizing their rising stature in North America. The show will be hosted by Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro, known for their roles on ABC’s long-running dance competition Dancing with the Stars.
Earlier this month, SEVENTEEN also made history as the first K-pop artists to appear on ABC’s 'Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular', leaving a strong impression on U.S. audiences. This program, which aired on ABC and is available for streaming on Disney+, showcased SEVENTEEN’s global appeal and marked another significant step in their journey to global stardom.
