BTS Jungkook's GOLDEN Becomes the Best-Selling K-Pop Solo Album in the US for Two Consecutive Years

Jungkook of BTS has set another record as his solo album GOLDEN secured the title of the best-selling K-pop solo artist album in the United States for two consecutive years.

According to global music tracking platforms such as Chart Data, About Music, Pop Flop, and Pop Core, Jungkook's GOLDEN closed out 2024 as the best-selling K-pop solo artist album in the US based on total sales. Following its release in November 2023, GOLDEN dominated the charts in 2023 and continued its streak in 2024, showcasing Jungkook's immense popularity and unmatched album sales power.

The album sold over 1 million units in the US, earning a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This achievement solidifies GOLDEN as a classic that combines mass appeal, musical artistry, and commercial success.

Upon its release, GOLDEN debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the highest position for an Asian solo artist, and stayed on the chart for a record-breaking 25 consecutive weeks. Additionally, it held a spot on the UK Official Chart's "Top 100" for eight weeks, marking the longest run for a K-pop solo artist.

In Billboard's "2024 Year-End Charts," GOLDEN ranked No. 80 on the Billboard 200, No. 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 9 on the Top Current Album Sales chart.

This incredible success highlights Jungkook’s global influence and establishes GOLDEN as a landmark album in K-pop history.
