ATEEZ Opens 2025 with a Bang: Wins Bonsang at the 39th Golden Disc Awards
ATEEZ kicked off 2025 with a celebratory achievement by winning the Bonsang (Main Award) in the album category at the 39th Golden Disc Awards, held on January 7.
The Golden Disc Awards selects winners based on a combination of physical album sales from November 2023 to November 2024, expert evaluations, Circle Chart data on music usage, and album sales until late November 2024. ATEEZ emerged victorious thanks to their exceptional achievements over the past year.
Their December 2023 release, the second full-length album “The World EP.Fin: WILL”, dominated global charts, securing the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 in the U.S. and #2 on the Official Albums Chart in the U.K., solidifying their presence on two of the world’s most prestigious music charts.
ATEEZ also created waves globally in 2024 with their “Golden Hour” series. The group’s 10th mini-album, “Golden Hour: Part.1”, released in May 2024, showcased their immense influence, topping charts in major markets such as the U.S., U.K., Japan, Germany, and France.
Their momentum didn’t stop there. The 11th mini-album, “Golden Hour: Part.2”, dropped in November 2024, further solidifying their status as a global powerhouse. ATEEZ became the first K-pop group to rank in the U.K. Official Charts’ Top 10 for four consecutive entries, showcasing their impressive consistency. Moreover, the album marked a personal milestone for the group, achieving their highest first-week album sales in the U.S. and topping the Billboard 200 upon its debut (chart dated November 30, 2024).
ATEEZ’s unparalleled achievements in 2024 and their triumphant start to 2025 highlight their growing status as a world-class K-pop group and set the stage for even greater success in the year ahead.
