TOURS Achieves 'Gold' Certification from Japan Record Association, Proving Global Potential [Official]

The idol group TWS (TOURS) has earned its first Gold Disc certification from the Japan Record Association.

According to the Japan Record Association on the 15th, TWS (comprising Shinyu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin) surpassed cumulative shipments of 100,000 copies for their debut single album Last Bell as of December 2024, earning the Gold Disc 'Gold' certification. The Japan Record Association awards Gold Disc certifications monthly based on cumulative album shipments, with categories such as Gold (100,000 copies), Platinum (250,000 copies), and Double Platinum (500,000 copies).

Meanwhile, TWS's debut track First Meetings Don't Go As Planned claimed the top spot on Melon's 2024 annual chart. This marks the first time in 14 years that a debut track has reached the top of the annual chart. Additionally, the song ranked 2nd and 3rd on the 2024 annual Digital Chart and Streaming Chart, respectively, as announced by Circle Chart.
