NewJeans Reveal New plans

The girl group NewJeans has announced plans to adopt a new activity name.

On the 23rd, NewJeans (members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein) posted on their newly launched official social media account, stating, "Bunnies! We’re planning to hold a two-day open call to choose a new activity name. Please participate by leaving comments!" They added, "Bunnies, please suggest lots of great names, and we’ll choose one ourselves!" engaging directly with their fans.

Previously, in November last year, NewJeans held an emergency press conference, during which they demanded the termination of their exclusive contract with their agency, ADOR, and announced their intention to leave HYBE. At the time, NewJeans explained, "The reason we are leaving ADOR is very simple. NewJeans is an artist under ADOR, and ADOR has a duty to protect NewJeans. However, ADOR has neither the will nor the ability to protect us. Staying here would be a waste of time and would only cause ongoing mental distress. More importantly, there is nothing we can gain professionally by staying. Therefore, the five of us see no reason to remain at ADOR."

In December of the same year, the group created a new social media account under the name "jeanz for free", and today (the 23rd), they announced that they have appointed Law Firm Sejong as their legal representative. NewJeans declared, "We want to make it clear: the five of us have absolutely no intention of returning to HYBE or ADOR, where even minimal trust cannot be expected. Through legal procedures, we will reveal the wrongdoing of ADOR and HYBE, and we will confidently fight in court to uncover the truth and inform the public."
