Stray Kids' ‘Thunderous’ Music Video Surpasses 400 Million Views on YouTube
Stray Kids’ Thunderous music video has officially surpassed 400 million views on YouTube.
The title track of their second full-length album NOEASY, released in August 2021, reached the milestone on February 7 at around 9 AM KST. With this achievement, Stray Kids now has two music videos with over 400 million views, following God’s Menu.
Thunderous was written and composed by the group’s in-house production team 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han). The song blends powerful brass sounds with vibrant traditional Korean music elements. The title plays on the double meaning of Thunderous—referring to both the noise of nagging critics (Jansorikkun) and a performer who sings boldly (Sori-kun). The lyrics convey a message of confidence, encouraging listeners to stand their ground and speak their minds despite external criticism.
The music video showcases Stray Kids' reputation as a "concept powerhouse." Featuring traditional Korean elements such as royal court music, folk performances, and Bukcheong lion masks, the video’s dynamic visuals are further enhanced by animation transitions and striking special effects.
Stray Kids continues to solidify their status as global top artists. Their December 2023 album SKZHIPTAPE ‘合 (HOP)’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the sixth consecutive time, setting a major record. They have also surpassed 30 million cumulative album shipments across Korea and Japan, received a second consecutive nomination at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and earned their eighth RIAA Gold certification with their mini-album MAXIDENT.
The group’s new world tour, Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE>, has expanded due to overwhelming demand, now covering 55 shows across 34 cities. Starting in March, they will embark on a large-scale stadium tour across Latin America, Japan, North America, and Europe. Before that, Stray Kids will hold their fifth official fan meeting, SKZ 5’CLOCK, from February 14 to 16 at Incheon Inspire Arena.
