Rosé Surpasses Mariah Carey! Sets New Billboard Global Record with 'APT.'

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has made history with her global mega-hit "APT.", breaking records on the Billboard Global (Excluding U.S.) chart.

15 Consecutive Weeks at No.1

On February 11 (KST), Billboard reported that "APT." has claimed the top spot on the Billboard Global (Excluding U.S.) chart for the week of February 15, 2025. With this, the song has surpassed Mariah Carey’s holiday classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You", which previously held the record at 14 consecutive weeks at No.1.

Additionally, "APT." has maintained a 12-week streak at No.1 on the Billboard Global 200 and remains on the Billboard Hot 100 for 16 consecutive weeks, currently sitting at No.6.

A Global Phenomenon

Originally released as a pre-release single from Rosé’s first full-length album "rosie" on December 6, 2024, "APT." quickly went viral, experiencing a massive surge in popularity. The song climbed the Billboard Hot 100, reaching a career-high No.2 on January 28, 2025, and held No.2 for five consecutive weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.

Breaking K-pop Records

Further solidifying her dominance, Rosé’s debut studio album "rosie" debuted at No.3 on the Billboard 200, setting a new record for the highest-charting K-pop female solo artist.

With "APT.", Rosé has rewritten history, proving her unparalleled global impact in the music industry.
