BTS Targeted in Airline Data Leak Scandal – Employee Under Police Investigation

An airline employee has been caught leaking flight information of dozens of celebrities, including BTS.

According to Channel A on February 24, a woman in her 30s, identified as "A," who resides in Hong Kong, is under police investigation for illegally accessing and distributing flight details of BTS and multiple other celebrities from 2023 to 2024.

As an employee of an international airline, A allegedly used an internal system that allows access to global flight information to look up and leak these details. Reports indicate that she leaked over 1,000 pieces of information and profited more than 10 million KRW (approximately $7,500) from selling them.

Authorities are also tracking other potential distributors involved in the illicit trade of celebrity flight information.
