Onew to Release First English Song ‘MAD’ on April 21

SHINee member Onew (ONEW) is set to release his first English song for global fans.

According to his agency, Griffin Entertainment, "Onew will release his first English song, ‘MAD,’ on April 21. Please look forward to it and show your support." Along with the announcement, Onew’s official social media accounts revealed a teaser image for ‘MAD.’ The image features a dark background with the song title and release date written in bold red letters, creating an eerie atmosphere and heightening curiosity.

Notably, Onew will perform a special live stage of ‘MAD’ for the first time during his solo concert, 2025 ONEW CONCERT [ONEW THE LIVE: CONNECTION] IN TAIPEI, on April 5.

‘CONNECTION’ is a brand-new concert series led by Onew, featuring a live band. The concert has already been successfully held in Yokohama, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea. As Onew continues his tour through Taipei and Macau before heading to eight cities in North America, he decided to release an English song to help global fans immerse themselves in his music. With lyrics entirely in English, ‘MAD’ allows fans to sing along easily, showcasing Onew’s deep appreciation for his international audience.
