LE SSERAFIM has partnered with Google’s Android.
During a live broadcast on the YouTube channel ‘Channel Fifteen Ya’ hosted by Na Young-seok on March 25th, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) announced, “We have some good news. The music video for ‘Come Over’ will be released soon. It’s a collaboration with Google Android, and we had a lot of fun filming it.”
LE SSERAFIM has created a music video for ‘Come Over’ in collaboration with Google’s Android mobile operating system. This is part of a promotional campaign for the AI assistant Gemini, and LE SSERAFIM and Google Android plan to release various videos showcasing Gemini’s features alongside the music video.
‘Come Over’ is a track from LE SSERAFIM’s fifth mini-album ‘HOT,’ released on March 14th. It garnered significant global attention even before its release, as it features contributions from Josh Lloyd and Lydia Kitto, members of the British band Jungle. The song encourages listeners to honestly react to their current emotions and enjoy the moment by dancing together. The vintage and dreamy vibe characteristic of Jungle, combined with LE SSERAFIM’s vocals, enhances the song’s appeal.
LE SSERAFIM debuted the ‘Come Over’ performance on music shows during its first week. The dynamic choreography and retro styling captivated viewers. Despite being a track from the album, it impressively climbed to 27th place on Spotify’s Korean ‘Daily Top Songs’ chart (dated March 19th). It also ranked 165th on the U.S. ‘Daily Top Songs’ chart (dated March 14th) and 168th on the Japanese ‘Daily Top Songs’ chart (dated March 17th), demonstrating its strong global popularity.
Through collaborations with global companies on this album, LE SSERAFIM has solidified its status as a ‘world-class’ group. Another track from the mini-album, ‘So Cynical (Badum),’ was included in Blizzard Entertainment’s team-based free-to-play action game ‘Overwatch 2’ and was partially unveiled in the game’s trailer before its official release.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM’s new album ‘HOT’ entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 9 (dated March 29th), as announced by the American music media outlet Billboard on March 25th. This marks the fourth consecutive time a 4th generation K-pop girl group has entered the top 10 of the chart. The title track, while not directly entering the main song chart ‘Hot 100,’ ranked 9th on the ‘Bubbling Under Hot 100’ chart, which ranks songs that narrowly missed entering the ‘Hot 100.’
