Weverse, the global superfan platform, officially launched a new service called 'Listening Party' on the 27th, allowing fans and artists to listen to music together in real-time and communicate with each other.

Weverse Listening Party is a service that allows users to create playlists by linking music streaming platforms within Weverse, listen to music together, and communicate in real-time through chat. Anyone – artists, labels, and fans – can become a 'HOST' of a Listening Party, share playlists reflecting their tastes with other community users, enjoy music simultaneously, and send support to artists. Listening Parties are already widely used in the global music market for purposes such as promoting new artist releases and hosting fan events. With the launch of this service, Weverse is expanding its platform capabilities beyond artist-fan communication, content distribution, commerce, and live streaming to include services linked to music streaming.

Weverse has partnered with 'Spotify,' one of the world’s largest audio and music streaming service platforms, to seamlessly integrate Spotify into Weverse and support the use of the Listening Party service. Spotify Premium users can link their accounts to participate in Listening Parties and enjoy music through their linked Spotify accounts. Weverse plans to expand the integration of global music services in the future.

Listening Parties can be accessed through a newly created 'Party' tab within each artist community. Artists and labels can host official Listening Parties, and fans can link their music streaming services, such as Spotify, to enjoy music with other listeners and communicate in real-time. In particular, Weverse Digital Membership subscribers can host their own Listening Parties even if they are not artists. Users can click the 'Listening Party' button in the Party tab, link their Spotify Premium account, set their desired playlist, and freely create a party. All of this can be done seamlessly within Weverse, without the need to switch between apps.

Meanwhile, Weverse is also holding an event to commemorate the launch of 'Listening Party.' Listening Parties featuring playlists from artists such as BTS and LE SSERAFIM will be held in the Weverse zone community. Listening Parties utilizing playlists from 12 artists – including BTS’s Jin and J-Hope, LE SSERAFIM, ONF, and PLAVE – that were revealed in the ‘Playlist’ corner of Weverse Magazine will be held every Tuesday from April 1st to 15th.
