NewJeans’ ‘OMG’ Surpasses 800 Million Streams, ADOR Announces Total Exceeds 6 Billion

NewJeans’ hit song ‘OMG’ has surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify.


ADOR announced on April 2nd that ‘OMG’ reached 800 million streams on Spotify as of March 31st. ‘OMG’ is the title track from NewJeans’ (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) single album ‘OMG,’ released in January 2023. It’s a lively hip-hop R&B track that blends UK garage and trap rhythms.


The song swept the top two spots on major domestic music charts alongside another track from the same album, ‘Ditto,’ and gained global popularity, even charting on the US Billboard Hot 100. Notably, it maintained a consistent presence on charts both domestically and internationally for an extended period, demonstrating sustained popularity. Furthermore, it received critical acclaim, being selected as one of the “Best Songs of 2023” by prominent overseas media outlets such as Consequence and the Associated Press.


NewJeans now has a total of 14 songs with over 100 million streams on Spotify. ‘OMG’ has surpassed 800 million streams, while ‘Ditto’ and ‘Super Shy’ have exceeded 700 million, ‘Hype Boy’ over 600 million, ‘Attention’ over 400 million, and ‘New Jeans’ and ‘ETA’ over 300 million. ‘Cookie,’ ‘Hurt,’ and ‘Cool With You’ have each surpassed 200 million streams, and ‘ASAP,’ ‘Get Up,’ ‘How Sweet,’ and ‘Supernatural’ have each exceeded 100 million streams. The total cumulative streams for all of NewJeans’ released songs on Spotify now exceeds 6 billion.
