HYBE America plans to launch a next-generation pop group in partnership with the creator of a popular web drama series from a leading YouTube channel.

HYBE America recently signed a global partnership with Alan Chikin Chow, the creator and storyteller of ‘Alan’s Universe’. The company also announced on April 4th the establishment of HYBE AMERICA x AU, an innovative label encompassing both drama and music.

Alan will serve as the chief producer and co-representative of HYBE AMERICA x AU. He will lead the label alongside James Shin, President of Film & TV at HYBE America, and CEO Scooter Braun.

Alan is a YouTube Shorts creator boasting approximately 1 billion views per month. His YouTube channel, ‘Alan’s Universe’, has surpassed 88.8 million subscribers. ‘Alan’s Universe’ is a web drama series centered around stories of love, friendship, and correct values for teenagers, and has garnered explosive popularity with over 700 million cumulative views across various platforms.

The first project of HYBE AMERICA x AU will begin with a global talent audition. Applicants aged 18 to 28 can upload singing or dancing videos to YouTube Shorts using the designated hashtag (#HYBEAMERICAxAU). Nationality is not a factor.
