HIGHLIGHT to Release New Title Track “Chains” Composed by Lee Gi-kwang + Tracklist and Trailer Revealed
The group HIGHLIGHT will deliver a musical message encompassing both reality and fantasy with their sixth mini-album.
HIGHLIGHT (Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seop, Lee Gi-kwang, Son Dong-woon) released the tracklist image and trailer video for their sixth mini-album ‘From Real to Surreal’ through their official SNS and YouTube channel on April 10th and 14th at midnight. According to the tracklist, HIGHLIGHT will make a comeback with the new title track “Chains.” Notably, Lee Gi-kwang participated in the lyrics and composition of “Chains,” perfectly embodying HIGHLIGHT’s unique musical style.
Furthermore, “Chains” features collaboration with producer Moon Kim, who previously worked with HIGHLIGHT on their third mini-album ‘The Blowing,’ first full album ‘DAYDREAM,’ and fourth mini-album ‘AFTER SUNSET,’ and producer IRIS, who participated in their fifth mini-album ‘Switch On,’ further enhancing their synergy. In addition to the pre-release track “Endless Ending,” which will be released on April 16th, the EP will also include “Good Day to You” and “Follow Me,” totaling four tracks. The album title ‘From Real to Surreal,’ meaning “from reality to fantasy,” suggests that the song titles, each containing a different story, foreshadow a special message that HIGHLIGHT will deliver through their well-made music.
The trailer video released on April 14th captures the mysterious atmosphere of HIGHLIGHT against the backdrop of a theater. HIGHLIGHT captivated viewers with cinematic visuals that blurred the boundaries between reality and fantasy. The breathtaking aura of the members, created with subtle lighting and a secretive mood, also sparked curiosity about the new concept.
Meanwhile, HIGHLIGHT’s new song “Endless Ending” will be pre-released through various online music sites at 6 PM on April 16th, and the full sixth mini-album ‘From Real to Surreal,’ including this track, will be released at 6 PM on April 28th.
