TWICE (pronounced "twice") spectacularly graced the stage as a special guest at British rock band Coldplay’s concert in South Korea. The globally renowned girl group performed as the opening act for Coldplay’s “Coldplay [Music Of The Spheres World Tour]” held across six nights – April 16th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, and 25th – at the Goyang Comprehensive Stadium in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province.
The anticipated collaboration between TWICE, a group beloved by music fans worldwide, and Coldplay drew significant attention even before the concerts began.
Throughout each performance, TWICE captivated the audience with a vibrant and immersive stage presence, filling the venue with enthusiastic cheers. They powerfully opened with their latest hit, “Strategy,” and continued with a parade of their signature tracks, including “TT,” “What is Love?,” “CHEER UP,” “Heart Shaker,” “Alcohol-Free,” and “Dance The Night Away,” elevating the atmosphere to its peak with the group’s characteristic bright and positive energy.
The joint performance with Coldplay and Chilean singer-songwriter Elyanna also garnered explosive reactions. TWICE delivered a meaningful moment by singing Coldplay’s “WE PRAY” in Korean, and showcased fantastic chemistry with Coldplay and Elyanna through their harmonious vocals.
Having successfully completed their special guest performance at Coldplay’s Korean concert, TWICE continues to shine as a headlining act at global festivals. They are scheduled to headline the large-scale music festival “Lollapalooza Chicago” held at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, USA, on August 2nd (local time).
This year’s “Lollapalooza Chicago” further solidifies TWICE’s global standing as they join a prestigious lineup of headlining performers, including Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Luke Combs, and A$AP Rocky.
Meanwhile, the collaborative track “WE PRAY (TWICE Version)” by TWICE and Coldplay, released on April 18th, is now available on various music streaming platforms.
